Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Youth Federation has held a high-level strategic engagement with Emmanuel Dei-Tumi, founder of the Africa Future Leaders Institute, following an outreach initiated by Dr. Dei-Tumi and his organisation after learning about the formation of the federation.

The meeting focused on partnership options to support the structured formation and long-term institutionalisation of the federation across Ghana. Discussions covered governance systems, leadership discipline, national coordination, and capacity building for youth leaders.

Dr. Dei-Tumi, a well-known leadership coach, author, corporate trainer, and youth development advocate, brings over two decades of experience in mentoring young leaders and advising public and private institutions across Africa. Through the Africa Future Leaders Institute, he has led programmes in leadership development, entrepreneurship, public policy engagement, and values-based governance, with a strong focus on preparing young people for responsible leadership.

During the engagement, Dr. Dei-Tumi expressed commitment to support the federation through strategic guidance, mentorship, and institutional advisory support. He stressed the importance of building strong foundations, clear structures, and disciplined leadership to ensure credibility and national relevance.

President of the Ghana Youth Federation, Mr. Sherif Ghali, thanked Dr. Dei-Tumi for his long-standing contribution to youth leadership development and for his willingness to support the federation at a critical stage. He described the engagement as timely and strategic, noting that the federation stands to benefit from Dr. Dei-Tumi’s experience in building sustainable leadership institutions.

Both parties agreed to explore follow-up engagements, including technical support and joint capacity-building activities, as part of efforts to establish a strong, credible, and inclusive national youth body.
